Membership cards are valid at all National Trust Victoria properties and National Trust properties across Australia. Members also benefit from reciprocal visiting arrangements with other heritage organisations worldwide through INTO (International National Trusts Organisation). With Digital Membership Cards, you’ll receive your card instantly via email and can start enjoying your benefits straight away. Add it to your Apple or Google Wallet for quick access.
No. Memberships are non-transferable and can only be used by the person(s) named on the membership, including Life Memberships.
Household memberships cover up to two adults and four children (under 18).
Gift Memberships
A gift membership gives family or friends free or discounted entry to 100+ places across Australia and 1,000+ heritage destinations worldwide.
Gift members enjoy the same benefits as standard members — free or discounted entry, invitations to member events, three magazines per year, and 10% off at National Trust shops.

Gift memberships are delivered instantly as a digital gift card via email, including a personalised message. Perfect for last-minute gifts!
Gift memberships are valid for 12 or 36 months from activation. Life Membership is valid for the recipient’s lifetime.
Using Your Membership Card
Scanning helps us record visits, personalise communications, and prevent fraudulent use. This ensures more of your subscription supports conservation work.
Yes! Your membership provides access to National Trust properties worldwide, including the UK, Scotland, and other INTO partners.
You can download your digital card via the Member Portal. To request a replacement physical card, email [email protected] with your details.
Yes. Please contact [email protected] to record your preference. Physical cards may take up to 5 weeks to arrive due to Australia Post delays.
Member Portal
All memberships have portal access, provided we have your email address. Contact our Membership Team if you need to update your details.
Use your registered email. A unique verification code will be emailed to you — no password required. Check junk/spam if it doesn’t arrive within 10 minutes.
Currently, only the Primary Member (the person who pays) can register and manage the membership.
Yes. Digital cards can be downloaded from the portal and stored in your Apple or Google Wallet.

Payments & Renewals
You can pay by debit or credit card.
Log in to the Member Portal. If eligible, a renewal link will appear in My Account.
It may have expired, be invalid for your membership type, or not apply to your payment method. Check the code’s terms and conditions, or contact us.
Confirmation emails (with temporary digital cards) usually arrive within 30 minutes. If not, check your junk folder or contact the Membership Team.
You can check renewal status easily in the Member Portal.
Yes, but memberships are non-refundable. We recommend enjoying your benefits until your renewal date, then choosing not to renew. To cancel, email [email protected].
General Questions
We don’t offer general discounts. As a concession card holder (student or pensioner), you may access concession rates. Multi-year memberships may qualify for up to 10% off.
Yes. You can add a printed magazine subscription when joining or renewing. All members receive a digital copy, which often includes extra content.
Yes. If both cardholder details are provided, separate digital cards are emailed to the primary and secondary cardholders.
