Collections & Research
The National Trust of Australia (Victoria) cares for a remarkable collection of more than 35,000 objects, spanning furniture, household items, fashion, and textiles. Each piece helps tell the story of our properties, the people connected to them, and Victoria’s diverse cultural heritage.
Our collections hold significance at local, state, and national levels. By making them accessible online, we aim to share their stories with everyone. Behind the scenes, our team works to improve records, enhance photography, and uncover new connections.
Cultural Sensitivity
Some collection records or objects may contain language or depictions that are offensive, disrespectful, or racist. These reflect the attitudes or context of the period in which they were created and do not represent the current views of the National Trust of Australia (Victoria).
