We are currently approaching the 150th anniversary of Barwon Park and reviewing work previously completed at the property. Between 2009-2011 the National Trust completed an extensive project at Barwon Park, funded by the Commonwealth Government Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts ‘Jobs Fund Heritage Project’.
This project included roof and plumbing repairs and improvements, structural remediation, plaster repairs and the upgrading of the kitchen and toilets. The photos below show the scaffolding erecting across the staircase inside the house and the extent of plaster repairs completed and how the staircase area looks today in all of its glory.
