Mr Gary Singer

Gary Singer is a respected leader whose multi-faceted career spans law, property development, local government, and community advocacy. With qualifications in both Economics and Law, Gary has served as a consultant, lawyer, and firm manager at Simon Parsons & Co Lawyers, and is admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
From 2004 to 2008, Gary served as Deputy Lord Mayor of Melbourne, a period marked by major social and cultural advancements in the city. A strong advocate for equality and inclusion, he championed initiatives that recognised diverse communities and strengthened Melbourne’s cultural identity. His leadership contributed to the establishment of Victoria’s first Relationships Declaration Register.
Gary’s broad experience across government, legal practice, business, and community advocacy – combined with his deep commitment to heritage, culture, and public value – brings significant strength and diversity of skills to the National Trust of Australia (Victoria)
Mr Lachlan Molesworth
MBA, LLB, BEng (Civil), Grad Dip Leg Prac
Deputy Chair & Director (since 2017)
Lachlan is a Barrister that practices in commercial and public law, with experience in heritage and planning law. Lachlan is on the board of the Law Council of Australia, is a part-time academic and Senior Fellow at The University of Melbourne law school, and professional author for Thomson Reuters. He has worked in senior levels of the Commonwealth Government in the Treasury portfolio and plays the bagpipes.
